Anywhere around Taranaki that offers battery replacement?

We are currently in the process of buying a gen 1 nissan leaf wnd where wondering where we would go when we need to replace the battery. We will be the first people we know of to buy an electric car so unsure of where to go if something does go wrong?

If I find any further information I will post it. But there is a list of dealers on our where to buy page.

Hi Alice, A response from Carl at Bluecars.

Blue Cars has performed four battery swaps on Nissan Leafs over the last six months, using used packs salvaged from wrecked cars. We presently have one Gen 2 pack in stock, but supply is limited so we can’t guarantee being able to offer used replacement packs at any point in the future.

We are however looking at options to completely rebuild old packs with new cells. We would then be able to offer pack upgrades without being restricted by the supply of used battery packs.

A replacement used pack would cost between $2k – $5k, depending on the condition of the new pack compared to the one you are trading in.

I guess a complete rebuild would cost somewhere around $12k, depending on condition of your old pack.

    Kind regards,
    Carl
