FRIDAY 16 September, 1.15 PM - 6 PM

EVolocity is the electric vehicle competition in secondary schools, educating kiwis on the environmental & economic benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) while growing youth interest in technology & engineering. This is the inaugural event for the Waikato, showcasing our school's electric vehicles ranging from bikes to karts. There will also be electric vehicles on display.

This event is open to the public and we invite people to come along and learn more about electric vehicles and green technology. Food stalls will be available.

For a copy of the schedule, please contact Levinia at levinia@weca.org.nz.

This event is being supported by The Better NZ Trust who are working together with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to promote International Drive Electric Week in New Zealand.

EECA is promoting electric vehicles in New Zealand as part of the Government’s electric vehicles programme;  EVs take advantage of New Zealand’s renewable electricity and create 80% fewer CO2 emissions than a petrol or diesel car
